EVA MARIE NEFF, 88, of 9631 Garis Shop Road, Hagerstown died Monday, May 7, 2007 at her home. Born May 29, 1918 in Washington County she was the daughter of the late Rev. Jacob Markwood and Lollie Estell Fritz Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Unger Neff, Sr. who died June 20, 2002. She was the former secretary for T and C Construction. She was a member of the Church of God. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and will be sadly missed by those who loved her – most of all by her "Kitty-Kat" and her granddaughter, "Baby Suzie". She was known as Mom or Grandma to those who knew her. She is survived by her son, Russell U. Neff, Jr. and wife Mariah of Hagerstown; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Agnes Holliday, Naomi Babington, Mildred Beckley, Georgiana Kline and Helen Hoffman and a brother Roscoe Carter. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown with Rev. Loyal Vanderveer officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
