Eugenia Frances "Jean" Hough, 90, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Somerford House.  Born July 27, 1935 in St. Genevieve MO, she was the daughter of Dermont and Mildred (Bader) Thomure.

She was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters, and a lifelong member of the Alpha Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. Throughout her life, she taught religious education classes. She also found joy in working from home as a seamstress, which enabled her to stay home and raise her six children.

Eugenia is survived by two daughters, Lynn Hough of Williamsport, MD, Judy Adams (Bruce) of Middletown, MD; three sons, Paul Hough (Nan Bortner) of Glenrock, PA, Dale Hough of Elkridge, MD, and Mark Hough (Kelly) of Fannettsburg, PA; three grandchildren; sister, Cheryl Gibson of St. Louis, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Eugenia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Hough in December 1996; daughter, Dawn Brown and husband, Ron; two sisters, Aline Kirnbauer and husband, Ron, and LaVonne Martin and husband, Don; and brother-in-law, Ray Gibson.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 4-6pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, MD.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Monday, October 6, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 17630 Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown, MD. The Rev. Isaac Makavo will be celebrant. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
