EUGENE WILSON (MAC) MCCAULEY, SR., 88, 16505 Virginia Avenue, Williamsport, Md., died on Sunday, May 13, 2007 at Homewood at Williamsport. Born November 14, 1918 in Hanging Rock, W.Va., he was the son of the late James Gilbert and Flossie Maloney McCauley. He retired as a Division Manager from Allegheny Power after 46 years of service and was always a Potomac Edison man at heart. Mac was a member and former officer of the Potomac Edison Forerunners. He was active in community affairs throughout his life, as a member of the Waynesboro Chamber of Commerce, Waynesboro Industrial Development Corporation and the Hagerstown United Way. Mac was a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Williamsport, Md. for 36 years, where he served as an elder, lay speaker, and Sunday school teacher. He is survived by his wife, Joan Taylor McCauley, of Homewood at Williamsport, Md.; three sons, Eugene W. (Gene) McCauley, Jr. and wife Nadine (Debbie) of Hagerstown, Md., James H. (Jim) McCauley and wife Carol of Belpre, Ohio and John W. McCauley and wife Jenny of Newport News, Va.; two step-daughters, Patricia L. (Patti) Roberts of Luray, Va. and Lois L. (Robin) Murray and husband Joe of Daytona Beach, Fl.; one brother, Larry L. (Lindy) McCauley of Romney, W.Va.; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 10813 Donelson Drive, Williamsport, Md. Rev. Dr. Norman G. Price and Rev. Mark Sandell will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
