Eugene Milton McCarney of Hagerstown, Maryland, born in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania on April 4, 1937, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2023, at the age of 86. Born to parents Frank Melvin McCarney and Helen Pauline Everly McCarney.

Eugene was predeceased by his parents Frank McCarney and Helen McCarney and his wife Malinda "Linda" Colliflower McCarney. Eugene was the last surviving child. He was also predeceased by his siblings; Robert McCarney, Dorothy Myers, Catherine Maxine Drury, Betty Drury, Melvin Sonny McCarney, Leonard "Snook" McCarney, Sr., Frank McCarney, Jack McCarney, Raymond McCarney, and Shirley "Annie" McDonald.

Eugene is survived by his children, Gerry McCarney and Tessa McCarney; grandchildren, Angelique McCarney, Sherissa Kline and Hunter Streets; great grandchild; Alice McCarney Miller and soon to be great grandson; and fur grand babies, Bruce, Cara Ann and Snuggles.

Eugene was retired from Hagerstown Pelitzer. He also worked at Horner Manufacturing, Coca Cola, CertainTeed, Fairchild and Bonded Applicators. Eugene attended South Hagerstown High School.

Graveside services will be 10am Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington Street, Hagerstown, Maryland.
