EUGENE ALLEN FISHER, 66, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at the Washington County Hospital. He was surrounded by his family when he peacefully passed away to be with the Lord. Born April 8, 1943 in Cumberland, Maryland, he was the son of the late Harry William and Leota Susan Kelly Fisher. He served in the U. S. Marines. He retired from Ingersoll-Rand Company in Mercersburg, Pennsylvania. He is survived by one son, Eugene A. Fisher, II, and wife Madeleine, of Colorado; and two granddaughters, Miranda Fisher and Marianna Fisher, both of Colorado. He was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald H. Fisher. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p. m. Sunday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. Gayle Ruble will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 to 4 p. m. and 7 to 9 p. m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association of Maryland, 11 Columbia Street, Cumberland, Maryland 21502.
