EUGENE FRANCIS ELLIOTT, 84, of 35 Avalon Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Monday, April 30, 2012 at Meritus Medical Center. Born June 25, 1927, in Butler, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Francis Charles and Jennie Viola Teague Elliott. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Hazel Virginia Elliott on February 24, 2006. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U. S. Army. He was employed by Bailey Plumbing Supply in Texarkanna Texas, retiring in 1987. He is survived by one daughter, Sheena Fontaine of Sahuarita, Arizona; one son, Richard Elliott of Hagerstown; two sisters, Emma Jane Waldroup of Horn City, Pennsylvania, and Bonnie Green of Forestville, Maryland; two brothers, Richard Elliott of Chicopee, Massachusetts, and Donald Elliott of Phoenix, Arizona; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Gail Orr; one sister, Judy Elliott; and two brothers, Jack Elliott and Bill Elliott. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Saturday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. The Rev. Louis L. Emerick will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport, Maryland. Graveside military honors will be conducted by Washington County Amvets Post 10 and Marine Corp League of Hagerstown. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 p. m.
