ETHEL MAY "TINY" NIXON, 88, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Ravenwood Nursing Home in Hagerstown. Born October 3, 1922, in Oldtown, Allegany County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John R. and Emeline Robertson Crabtree. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-four years, Christopher Nixon. She is survived by three sons, Virgil O. Nixon of Midlothian, Virginia, James "Jim" Nixon, and wife, Paula, of Maugansville, Maryland, and John A. Nixon of Las Vegas, Nevada; one sister, Daisey Allen of Hagerstown; six grandchildren, Mark Nixon of Winchester, Virginia, Robin Blouse of Hamilton, Virginia, Scott Nixon of Jacksonville, Florida, Jodi Poh of Midlothian, Virginia, Eric Nixon of Dallas, Texas, and Michele Jakoby of Big Pool, Maryland; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A memorial viewing will be held in "Celebration of Life" on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 from 6 to 8 p. m. at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, Maryland.
