Erna Elizabeth Long (Deneen), 86, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away 12-25-2023 at Homewood of Williamsport in MD.

Erna is survived by one daughter, Erayna Long, one son-in-law, Troy Hebert both of Hagerstown; and one brother, Randy Deneen, formerly of Williamsport, MD and now of Waynesboro, PA. A niece and nephew in MN, and several nieces and nephews in PA.

Erna has been a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses since 1972 in Hagerstown, Martinsburg and Chambersburg.

Erna was a great mother, trustworthy and true friend to many. She enjoyed serving God throughout her life and had a soft spot for animals.

Erna is preceded in death by her father, Ernest Deneen; mother, M. Elizabeth Deneen; brothers, Charles Deneen, Ernest B. Deneen, and Alverta Deneen, formally in Reading PA then in Shippensburg, PA. And former husband, Edward M. Long.

A viewing will be held on January 2, 2024, from 6:00-8:00pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD.

Alan Robinson will be speaking at her funeral, which will also be held at Minnich Funeral Home, on January 3, 2024 at 10:00 am. Burial will take place at Cedar Lawn Cemetery after the service.
