Erma Faye Snyder, 82, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Doeys House. Born April 20, 1938 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late David A. and Pearl R. (Hott) House. Erma was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Snyder. She worked at Potomac Diner. She also owned and operated C. L. Snyder & Sons Metal. She owed a racehorse and raced it at the Charles Town track. Erma is survived by two daughters, Carla Snyder and Tempe Swope; two sons, David Snyder and Rickey Snyder; two sisters, Dorothy McClung and Judy Moore; one brother, Donald House; and three grandchildren, Dana Moats, Christopher Benton, and Chaunte Snyder. Erma was preceded in death by her sister, Thelma L. German, and two brothers, Harry C. House and Leroy C. House. The funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Robert Byers will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 from 7pm-9pm. The funeral home will be open Wednesday from 9am to 7pm for those who want to avoid groups of 10 or more. Social distancing and masks are required.
