EMMA VERA BURGER HAMILTON, 93, of Hagerstown, Md., died on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at the home of her daughter. Born August 23, 1917 in Hagerstown, Md. she was the daughter of the late John Samuel and Blanche Rose Miller Barr. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was employed as a seamstress and was also co-owner of Terminal Restaurant in Hagerstown. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Victor A. Hamilton. They were married May 9, 1964. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Dianna Rivera of Hagerstown; a step-daughter, Audrey Smith of Hagerstown; three granddaughters, Cathy Fear, Donna Burger and Diane "Lisa" Rivera, all of Hagerstown; and a grandson, Gregory Loveless and wife April of Hagerstown; five great grand children and eight great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a special friend, Barbara Moore of Hagerstown. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. Rev. Michael Seger will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 742Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, Md. 21742.
