ELVA JANE CLEM, 86, formerly of Poffenberger Road, Hagerstown, Md., died on Sunday, March 4, 2007 in Boonsboro, Md. Born February 8, 1921 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William H. Davidson and Bettie Moats Graffius. She was preceded in death by her husband, Barbour William Clem Jr. She was of the Christian faith. She was a homemaker. She is survived by a daughter, Betty J. Clem of Hagerstown; two sons, Richard E. Clem and Donald L. Clem, both of Hagerstown; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, William Davidson and Willard Whisman. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Loyal H. Vanderveer will officiate There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Road, Hagerstown, Md. 21740 or the charity of choice.
