Elsie Evelyn (Griffith) Flook, 94, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Julia Manor Healthcare Center. Her husband, Clarence A. Flook, passed away on November 16, 2020. Born January 23, 1927 in Keedysville, MD, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Anna May (Springer) Griffith. Elsie was a member of Boonsboro Family Worship Center. She was a homemaker, a devoted wife of 75 years, and mother of eight children. She is the last surviving member of her family. Elsie is survived by four daughters, Juanita E. Cline (Husband, Eddie), Patsy A. Kline (Husband, Dean), Rebecca J. Mills (Husband Lloyd) and Esther A. Schroyer (Husband, David); two sons, Clarence D. Flook (wife, Debra) and Daniel W. Flook; 13 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Elsie was preceded in death by one son and one daughter, both of whom died at birth; seven sisters, Martha Guessford, Mary Powell, Nellie Griffith, Pauline Ecker, Margaret Martz, Della Long, and Helen Easterday; and four brothers, Albert Griffith, Elmer Griffith, Howard Griffith, and Silas Griffith. The funeral service will be held 10am on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD, with Pastor Jeff Summers officiating. Masks and social distancing are required. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 19, 2021, from 4-6pm.
