ELMER LESTER PERKINS, 74, of Boonsboro, Maryland, and formerly of 2021 Rumsey Terrace, Martinsburg, West Virginia, died on Sunday, June 18, 2006 at the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown. Born July 17, 1931 in Washington County, Maryland, he was the son of the late William Lester and Emma Frances Smith Perkins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Madeline Perkins on June 24, 2003. He was retired from Fairchild Aircraft in Hagerstown. He was a member of the Willowbrook Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He is survived by five sons, Edward L. Perkins of Martinsburg, West Virginia, David A. Perkins and Brandon Perkins, both of Boonsboro, Maryland, Anthony R. Perkins of Semferpol, Ukraine, and Kevin L. Perkins of Elkton, Virginia; two sisters, Pattie Shoemaker of Rohrersville, Maryland, and Patsy Sanger of Knoxville, Maryland; two brothers, Lawrence Danner of Hagerstown, and Chester Stottlemyer of Frederick, Maryland; two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Thomas E. Perkins. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p. m. Thursday at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, Maryland. Pastor Tom Boggess will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p. m.
