ELLA GENEVIEVE LEWIS, 90, of 9700 Sharpsburg Pike, Hagerstown, Maryland, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at the Washington County Hospital. Born May 29, 1918 in Huyetts, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Howard L. and L. Catherine McCauley Sprecher. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Lewis February 1992. She was employed with Fairchild Aircraft for thirty years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of First Christian Church. She is survived by four daughters, Jean Mimnall-Huntzberry, and husband Fred, of Smithsburg, Maryland, Nancy Hart, and husband Jerry, of Hagerstown, Joni Jackson, and husband Tommy, of Smithsburg, Maryland, and Susan Mose, and husband Terry, of Hagerstown; one son, Robert L. Lewis, Sr. of Hagerstown; one sister, Phyllis M. Rickett, and husband Bill, of Jacksonville, Alabama; nine grandchildren, Michael Mimnall, Jeffrey Mimnall, Jimmy Hart, Michele Embly, Jeremy Mose, Nathan Mose, Robert Lewis, Jr., Travis Lewis, and Credance Jackson; eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Irene Robison, Imogene Coy, and Margaret Repp; and brother, Clarence Sprecher. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Friday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. Fred M. Harris and Rev. G. David Shreeves will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
