Elizabeth Anne Malek, 79 of Hagerstown, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at her home surrounded by immediate family. Born May 26, 1942 in Portland, Maine, she is the daughter of late Ivan and Agnes Brandon. She met and married her late husband, Thomas Malek, while he served in the US Navy. She loved spending time with her family, reading, flowers, birdwatching, car rides, milkshakes, and mostly her dog, Fred. Elizabeth is survived by her brother, Richard; grandchildren, Katrina, Charles, Ona, Thomas, Sani, and Eletria; and daughter, Mildred, as well as many friends and neighbors that she considered family. The memorial service will be held 4:30 PM, Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Cedar Grove Church, 13343 Williamsport Pike, Greencastle, PA 17225. The family will receive friends following the service at Elizabeth's home. The family expresses thanks to all her caregivers as well as the hospice staff. And a special thank you to Amy, BeBe, and Kathy who kept her comfortable.
