ELIZABETH JANE KENDLE, 89, of 19717 Cool Hollow Road, Hagerstown, MD died Sunday, March 14 at the Williamsport Nursing Home. Born June 28, 1920 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Nora Easterday Sinnisen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Kendle, Sr., April 30, 2007. She was a homemaker and had previously worked at Coffman Nursing Home. She was a member of Benevola United Methodist Church. She was an avid bird watcher and was a member of the Audobon Society. She is survived by five sons, Robert E. Kendle, Jr. of Boonsboro, Jerry L. Kendle of Yorktown, VA, James E. Kendle, William D. Kendle and Steven R. Kendle all of Hagerstown; one sister, Margaret Myers of Williamsport; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Sinnisen. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 18 at 11:00 am at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd with Rev. John Dean officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 7:00-9:00 pm at the funeral home. The family requests the omission of flowers with memorial donations to the charity of your choice.
