Eleanor Mae Reed, 97, of Hagerstown, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Williamsport Retirement Village.  Born October 17, 1928, in Fort Loudon, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Stuart and Matilda (Hassler) Funk.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frederick William Reed. She was a faithful member of Black Rock Bible Church. Eleanor found great joy in playing bingo and participating in crafts during her time at Williamsport Nursing Home.

She is survived by four daughters, Bonnie Boggs and husband Arthur, Mary Gordon, Barb Wiles, and Rosie Wiles; one son, Terry Reed and wife Mary Jo; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Doris Funk Kline.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Reed; her daughter, Shirley (Reed) Schroeder; two sons-in-law, Ralph Wiles, Sr. and Charles Wiles; two sisters, Sue Teach and Ruth Daley; and four brothers, Billy Funk, Bobby Funk, Roy Funk, and Paul Funk.

A viewing will be held at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 6:00-8:00pm.

The funeral will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the funeral home. Pastor Guy Nesbitt will officiate. Burial will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
