Elaine A. Kemmerer, 86, of Williamsport, MD, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. She was born on January 23, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Estelle M. Savage.

She graduated from Allentown High School in Allentown, PA in 1954 and from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in 1957. Elaine worked her entire working life as a registered nurse. She had been employed with Washington County Hospital, the medical group of Newman, Wagshal, Wooster, Kass, Bradford, McCormack, and Hurwitz, and other area medical practices.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, H. Grant Kemmerer.

She is survived by 3 sons, Scott and wife, Cheryl, Michael and wife, Tammy, Patrick and wife, Billie Jo; one daughter, Sheryl; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank all of Elaine's health care workers, friends, neighbors, and care-givers who supported and gave her comfort during this difficult time. We are so grateful for your compassion and kindness.

Family and friends are welcomed for a memorial visitation on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard in Hagerstown.
