EDWIN WILDEY TAYLOR, SR., 92, of 9900 Crystal Falls Drive, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro, Maryland. Born June 20, 1918 in Maryland, he was the son of the late John Wildey and Eva Tyler Taylor. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-four years, Marie Gladys Taylor in 2009. He owned and operated Del-Tay Manufacturing and Engineering Company in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a member of First Seventh Day Adventist Church of Baltimore, Maryland. He was a member of A.A.R.P., and Newsmatic Association. He was an avid golf, and enjoyed boating on the Chesapeake Bay. He is survived by two sons, David Taylor of Baltimore, and Edwin W. Taylor, Jr., and his wife, Barbara Lashley Taylor, of Hagerstown; one sister, Nancy Cullen of North Carolina; one brother, Benton Taylor and his wife Ruth of Ohio; Sister-in-law, Evie Brendle of Havre de Grace, Maryland; Brother-in-law Vincent P. Smith of Clear Spring and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Daniel Taylor. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Friday at Lakeview Cemetery in Eldersburg, Maryland. The Rev. Roosevelt Marsden will officiate. There will be no viewing.
