Edward "Jack" Leon Hose, 92, of Hagerstown, MD, died Monday, December 12, 2016. He was born on August 14, 1924 in Hagerstown, to the late Ellsworth and Margaret (Debow) Hose. After graduating from Hagerstown High School in 1943, he served in the 29th Division U.S. Army in Europe. Following the war, he worked at Fairchild, Sears, and spent 35 years at Pangborn Corporations, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Hagerstown Bible Church, serving as a Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, Elder, and Door Greeter for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn L. Hose, whom he married in 1947. He is also survived by daughter, Sharon A. Koogle of Hedgesville, WV; sons, Robert Hose and wife, Janice, of Little Rock, AK, and Larry W. Hose and wife, Melinda, of Newport News, VA; granddaughters, Emily J. Sheaffer and husband, Daniel of Little Rock, AK, Melanie Hose of Nashville, TN, Jessica Spencer and husband, Erik, of Portsmouth, VA, and Michelle Parkman and husband, Brad, of McKinley, TX; grandsons, Mark Koogle of Hagerstown, and Benjamin Hose living in Japan; great grandchildren, Jeffrey Koogle, Isaac Sheaffer, Evelyn Sheaffer, Hayden Sheaffer, Jerrod Sheaffer, Channing Parkman, Chaz Parkman, Amelia Spencer, and Abby Rae Spencer; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Billy E. Hose; and son-in-law, E. Edward Koogle. The family will receive family and friends at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 9:30am to 10:30am, followed by the funeral service at 10:30am. Pastor Dale Carver of Hagerstown Bible Church will conduct the service, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family requests the omission of flowers.
