Edward "Buddy" Guy Harne, 83, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on February 4, 2026, at his home.

Born May 29, 1942 in Washington County, MD, he was the son of the late Jennings Guy and Mildred (Jones) Harne.

Edward is survived by his wife, Carol Harne; his daughter, Kecia Smith of McConnellsburg, PA; stepson, Larry Leisher (Lisa) of Berkeley Springs, WV; daughter-in-law, Connie Harne of Inwood, WV; son-in-law, Tim Wyand of Quincy, PA; two sisters, Guylene Smetzer (John) of Smithsburg, MD and Annette Harne of Smithsburg, MD; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Duane Harne; his daughter, Renee Wyand; son-in-law, Joey Smith; and his sister, Phyllis (Harne) Beckley.

The funeral will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Todd Lady will officiate. Burial will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 6:00-8:00pm.
