EDNA MAY SHIPLEY, 91, of 1030 Salem Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Thursday, September 01, 2005 at the Washington County Hospital. Born March 17, 1914 in Washington County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mollie Loudenslager Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband, John V. Shipley, Sr. on April 4, 1992. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Lee Renner, and Nancy Newcomer, both of Hagerstown; one brother, John Hall of Hagerstown; three grandchildren; Robin Newcomer, Jocelyn Newcomer and Alex Newcomer. and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Shipley, and John Shipley, Jr.; three sisters, Velma Hall, Grace Newkirk, and Mary St. Clair; and two brothers, Sam Hall, and Robert Hall. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Saturday at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. Arvel J. Barrett will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport, Maryland. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 7 to 9 p. m.
