Edna Mae McGowan, 83, of Maugansville, MD, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023. She was born on July 20, 1940 to the late Earl Miller and Ethel Divel Miller.

Edna lived in Hagerstown most of her life. She retired after many years of service at Maryland State Hospital where she served as a Supply Administrator. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, and especially, her chicken collection.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar McGowan and many beloved brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her stepson, David McGowan and his wife, Deborah, her grandchildren, Heather Urban and her husband, Richard and Holly Brown and her husband, Anthony, her great-grandchildren, Lucian Urban and Olivia Brown, her sister, Helen Leberknight, her sister-in-law, Jean Miller, several nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Family and friends are welcomed for a graveside service on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 11:00am at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington Street in Hagerstown.
