Obituary

EARL WILLIAM EISSNER, 93, of 19800 Tranquility Circle, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at the Washington County Hospital. Born April 19, 1916 in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of the late Harry Franklin and Florence Edith Worthington Eissner. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Army. He was a retired Major in the U. S. Army Reserve. He was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Morris Frock, American Legion Post 42, B.P.O.Elks 378, Friendship Lodge #84 A. F. & A. M. of Hagerstown, the Ali Ghan Masonic Temple of Cumberland, and a former member of the Cumberland Scottish Rite. He is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, Blanche Garnetta Eissner; and nieces and nephews. He was the last member of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by a sister, Clara R. Martin, and a brother, Charles Edward Eissner. Funeral services will be held at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard on Saturday at 11:00 a. m. Rev. Renee Mackey will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 7 to 9 p. m.
