Dwayne Edward Washko, 27, of Sharpsburg, MD, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017. Born July 25, 1990 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of Edward Dwayne and Linda (Berkey) Washko. Dwayne graduated from Boonsboro High School in 2008 and from York College with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. He was employed with Funk Electric. Dwayne was an avid snowboarder and golf enthusiast. He also enjoyed hunting with his father. In addition to his parents, Dwayne is survived by his sister, Jessica Mersinger and husband, Stephen of Columbia, MD; paternal grandparents, Edward and Nancy Washko; three Aunts, Terri Washko, Cindy Davis, and Doe Berkey; two Uncles, Jim Washko and Greg Berkey; eight cousins, Jennifer, Rachel, Jessica, Matthew, Lakota, Russell, Lance, and Laken; niece, Cameran Mersinger; and the family dog, Payton. The Memorial Service will be held 1pm Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Brad Selan will officiate.
