DREWRY ELIZABETH HARPOLD, 92 of Sundown Court, Hagerstown, Maryland, died Friday, October 14, 2005 at the Washington County Hospital. Born March 27, 1913 in Richmond, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Norma B. Ware Woody. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. William C. Harpold, August 9, 2000. He was a retired United Methodist Minister. They were married on July 7, 1929 at the 9th Street Christian Church in Washington, D.C., and enjoyed seventy-one years of marriage. Today that marriage continues in heaven. She graduated from Eastern High School in Washington, D.C. She was employed with Weight Watchers for sixteen years. She was a member of the Washington Square United Methodist Church; the United Methodist Women and the Golden Rule Sunday School Class. She is survived by three daughters, Juanita Mozell Cutler of Three Churches, West Virginia, Florence Elizabeth Dean of Kearneysville, West Virginia and Lois Ellen Harpold of Funkstown, Maryland; five sons, William Cody Harpold, Jr. of Pflugerville, Texas, Richard Norman Harpold of Ovilla, Texas, Charles Woody Harpold of Boynton Beach, Florida, George Michael Harpold of Frostburg, Maryland and John Arthur Harpold of Lebanon, Pennsylvania; thirty-three grandchildren; fifty-five great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Janet Lee Moore and David Harpold; one sister, Rose Mary Evans. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, at Washington Square United Methodist Church, 538 Washington Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland. The Rev. Owen Womack, Bishop Joseph Yeakel, and assisted by her two sons, Rev. George M. Harpold and Rev. John A. Harpold will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Route 15 North of Frederick, Maryland. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7:00pm to 9:00 pm at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, Maryland and one hour prior to the services at the church of Wednesday.
