DOUGLAS EUGENE RUBECK, SR. 58, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died Monday, May 20, 2013 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and entered into his eternal home in Heaven. Born July 20, 1954 in Washington County, Maryland, he was the son of Anna Mae Bartles Rubeck of Hagerstown, MD and the late Robert Edward Rubeck. He was employed for forty years with Certain-Teed Products Corporation. He was a member of Salem Reformed Church. He loved to coach baseball and scouting. He also loved spending time with his children. In addition to his mother, Douglas is survived by his wife of thirteen years, Barbara Rubeck; eleven year old triplets, Britney Rubeck, Douglas Rubeck, Jr. and Coby Rubeck all of Hagerstown, MD; step-children, Crystal Knodle, Micheal Hurd both of Hagerstown, and Jeffrey Hurd of Florida; one sister, Deborah Kelley of Hagerstown, Maryland; two brothers, Robert Rubeck, Jr. and wife, Doris, and Gerald Rubeck, Sr. and wife Emily all of Hagerstown, MD; four grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. The Rev. Steve Wagoner and Pastor Brian Kelley will officiate. Burial will be in Broadfording Church Cemetery.
