DOROTHY WELLS RIDENOUR, 94, formerly of 1747 Edgewood Hill Circle, Hagerstown, died on Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at Village of Robinwood where she was a resident. Born May 14, 1910 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Wells and Anna Viola Baker Young. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew F. Ridenour in 1996. She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ, and was a member of the choir for more than seventy years. She was a member of the Ladies of the Elks; currently serving as Assistant Chaplain. She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Ann DiPoli of Waldorf, Maryland; two sons, Wells Ridenour of Boonsboro, Maryland, and David Ridenour of Hagerstown; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a. m. Friday at the Zion United Church of Christ. Rev. Dr. Robert C. Royal will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard on Thursday from 2 to 4 p. m. and 7 to 9 p. m. A memorial service will be held at 8:00 p. m. Thursday at the funeral home by the Ladies of the Elks. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Zion United Church of Christ, 201 North Potomac Street, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740.
