DOROTHY VIRGINIA MILES, 91, of 11 West Baltimore Street, Hagerstown, Maryland, died Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Meritus Medical Center. Born March 23, 1920 in Martinsburg, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Harry F. Clark and Elizabeth V Barnes Clark Green. She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney W. Miles. She is survived by three daughters, Vicki S. Jackson of Salem, VA, Diantha Eddy of Marlow, WV and Kay L. Varron Shirley of Gettysburg, PA; two sons, David G. Miles of Greencastle, PA, Barney W. Miles of Killeen, TX; step-son, Horace Miles of Ashland, KY; one sister, Anna Williams of Hagerstown, MD.; five half-sisters, Anna C. Jacobs, Rose N. Penwell, Carolyn J. Wise, Helen K. Kern and Linda K. Pennington; three half-brothers, John W. Clark, Roger L. Clark and Leroy T. Clark; eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Pearl Clark; two half-sisters, Evelyn C. Starliper and Edith V. Clark; two half-brothers, Ernest Clark and Harry Clark. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Pastor James Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m.
