DOROTHY MAE DELAUTER, 86 of Hagerstown, MD, died Saturday, September 27, 2009 at Loyalton in Hagerstown, MD. Born June 22, 1923 in Washington County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Claude L. and Flavia Hartle Cunningham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence H. Delauter on May 25, 2001. She was previously employed with Reisner's, Porter Chemical, Southern Shoe and Moller Organ Company all in Hagerstown. She was a member of First Christian Church. She is survived by a granddaughter, Tammy Spivey, of Perry Hall, MD; a sister-in-law, Dot Delauter of Hagerstown, MD; two great grandchildren; and two nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Cunningham. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. The Rev. Nancy Jenkins will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. The family requests the omission of flowers.
