DOROTHY MARIE CRAMPTON, 81, of 145 Southern Oak Drive, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Golden Living Center. Born April 15, 1928 in Clear Spring, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Elizabeth Chaney Shenebeck. She was employed in the cafeteria by the Williamsport High School for twenty-five years. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Trinity. She was a member of the Morris Frock American Legion, Post 42 Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, Leon M. Crampton; one daughter, Patricia A. Bates of Leesburg, Virignia; one son, Michael L. Crampton, and wife, Linda, of McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Florence Rittman of Williamsport, Maryland, and Faye Metz of Hagerstown; and one granddaughter, Jenna M. Hoffman, and husband, Toby. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Barkdoll, and Betty Sword; two brothers, Clarence Shenebeck, and Guy Shenebeck; and one grandson, Blake M. Crampton. Funeral services will be held at the Church of the Holy Trinity on Monday at 1:00 p. m. The Rev. Timothy Leighton will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
