DOROTHY MARIE AMBROSE, 70, of 1122 Moller Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland, died Saturday, December 23, 2006 at the Washington County Hospital. Born January 15, 1936 in Cumberland, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Ruth E. Winter Niner. She retired from the Department of Defense. She was a member of the Hagerstown Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She is survived by her husband, Fred Ambrose; one daughter, Anita M. Whitesides of Hagerstown, Maryland; one son, John A. Ambrose of Smithsburg, Maryland; one sister, Linda Hartman of Cumberland, Maryland; one brother, Hurshel Niner of Keyser, West Virginia; five grandchildren. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Hagerstown Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 11507 Robinwood Drive, Hagerstown, Maryland. Pastor Rick Remmers will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. There will be no viewing. Memorial donations may be made to the Hagerstown Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Children's Department, 11507 Robinwood Drive, Hagerstown, Maryland 21742.
