DORIS MAXINE PIKE, 78, of 524 Jefferson Street, Hagerstown, Maryland, died Saturday, August 26, 2006 at her home. Born May 19, 1928 in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Arthur C. and Anna Walters Shearer. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Edmund Pike in 1996. She retired from Weis Market, Inc. in the South End Shopping Center. She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church. She is survived by one daughter, Elaine Keener of Maugansville, Maryland; one son, John E. Pike Jr. of Martinsburg, West Virginia; one sister, Elaine E. Smith of Hagerstown, Maryland; one brother, Arthur Shearer; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Jones and Norma Rohrer. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, Maryland. The Rev. W. Phillip Fogarty will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
