Doris (Elgin) Binkley, 92, formerly of Trappe, MD, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Buckinghams Choice in Adamstown, MD. Born November 7, 1925 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Lester and Helen Dorothea (Schulz) Elgin. She worked in the Federal Government as a secretary for many years. She loved animals, gardening and traveling with her husband. She is survived by five nieces, Carol Ann Noonan and husband, Tom, Susan Miller Slayton, Susan Carol Elgin, Melinda Elgin Smith, and Jennifer Brown. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, William O. Binkley; and brother, Harold Elgin. The funeral service will be held 11am Friday, March 16, 2018, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Justin Repp will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
