Dorian "Sis" Marlene Knode, 87, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Saturday, May 11, 2024.  Born September 25, 1936 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Eleanor Elizabeth (Jaeger) and William Cover Kneisley, Sr.

Sis loved her family and gardening. She retired from the Board of Education in 1997, and was a member of Calvery Grace Brethren Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Jodi Decker (husband, Jeff); two sons, David Knode (wife, Joan) and Ricky Knode (wife, Cynthia); one son-in-law, Jimmy White; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey Decker, Jr., Amy Hess, Austin Knode, Dylan Knode, Alexa Knode, Erica Knode, and Haylee White; six great grandchildren, Garrett, Bensen and Brody Decker, and Ella Tanner and Kalli Presgraves; one sister, Carol Martin; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sis was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, David Knode in 2017; daughter, Candee White in 2011; one sister, Derrlene Gay Hart; and two brothers, William C. Kneisley, Jr. and John C. Kneisley.

The funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, May 17, 2024, with Rev. Darrell Layman officiating, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 6pm to 8pm.
