Obituary

Donna Jean "Jeannie" Williams, 74, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025 with her son and her sister by her side.

She was born on October 20, 1950 to Donald Clayton Hoffman and Dorothy Jean (Hawbaker) Hoffman.

Jeannie was a talented artist who graduated from South Hagerstown High School, class of 1968. Immediately after graduation she began working at the Washington County Board of Education creating art work for their public-school television programs for art and music. While working for WCPS, her talent was recognized by a manager from Fairchild Aircraft who recruited her to work at their Hagerstown location drawing schematics. The greatest accomplishment of Jeannie's life was the birth of her son, Zoey, in 1974 and after that she decided to become a full-time mother. Later in life she also attended Hagerstown Junior College and completed an Associate Degree of Social Sciences.

Jeannie was predeceased by her father, Donald Hoffman, a niece, Emily Lawrence, her Hawbaker uncles, Ronald, Max, Richard, Gary "Pete", and David, as well as her aunts, Betty Snook and Doris Blubaugh, and her uncle, Charles Hoffman.

She is survived by her son, Zoey Zane Williams, her mother, Dorothy Hoffman, brothers, Robert (Kay), Michael (Sue), and Terry Hoffman, and her sister, Lisa Snyder (Tom). She is also survived by her uncle, Sam Hawbaker (Kathy), her aunts, Gladys Hoffman, Clara Smith (Bill), Beverly Hawbaker, and Nancy Hawbaker, as well as 7 nephews, 3 nieces, 10 great-nephews, and 3 great-nieces. She is also survived by many cousins. Jeannie was loved by all and she will be missed.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 802 Summit Ave., Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Randy Reid and Rev. Clarence Hurd will officiate. Refreshments will be served at the church following the service.
