Donna Lee Stockslager, 75, of Hagerstown, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020, at Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home. Born March 17, 1945 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Orville Leo Bowers, Sr. and Doris Eileen (Knode) Bowers. Donna was a graduate of Williamsport High School, Class of 1963. She was employed as a secretary with Potomac Edison and the Accounting Department of Washington County Hospital. Donna and her husband owned and operated the 1890 Ice Cream Shoppe across from North High. She was a member of the Hagerstown Church of the Brethren, serving as past Head of the Nursery as well as a Sunday School Teacher. Donna volunteered at North Hagerstown High School in various activities including the Parent Teacher Student Organization and was uniform chairman for NHHS Band Boosters. She was a wonderful and loving homemaker. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles "Bucky" Stockslager, whom she married May 15, 1966; one daughter, Beth Anne Neisser, and husband Bradley; one son, Christopher R. Stockslager; one brother, Orville "Will" Bowers, Jr., and wife Connie; and two grandchildren, Andrew and Thomas Neisser. Funeral services will be held 2pm Thursday, October 22, 2020, at Church of the Brethren, 15 S. Mulberry St., Hagerstown. Pastor Twyla Rowe will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday, October 22, 2020. There will be no viewing. Masks are required and seating capacity will be 85 persons.
