DONNA ELAINE RODGERS, 78, of Hagerstown, MD passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born March 29, 1935 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Howard B and Myrtle Viola McCurdy Wilson Harbaugh. Donna was a 1953 graduate of Hagerstown High School. She had been employed by C&P Telephone Co as an operator, then a cook at Paramount Elementary School, then retired from Physical Therapy, Inc. Donna also worked at the Hagerstown Speedway for 25 years. After her retirement, she took great joy in caring for your grandchildren and spending time with her family. Donna is survived by her daughter, Tempe G. Rodgers-Smith of Fannettsburg, PA; two sons, M. Keith Rodgers of Hagerstown, MD, and Allen G. Rodgers and wife Mary-Ellen of Williamsport, MD; Six grandchildren, Dana Rodgers of Hagerstown, MD, Katelyn Smith of Fannettsburg, PA, Tony Fidler of Norfolk, VA, Hunter and Destiny Rodgers of Greencastle, PA, and David Dallas Smith of Fannettsburg, PA; three great-grandchildren, Jacey and Tony Fugate of Leitersburg, MD, and Chloe Ott of Fannettsburg, PA; two Daughter-in-laws, Wendy Rodgers of Greencastle, and Linda Howells of Hagerstown, MD; and dear friends Connie and Bob Kimmel of Hagerstown, MD. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin G. Rodgers, who passed away in 2006; and two brothers, Bert and Nevin Harbaugh. The Funeral service will be Friday, January 10th, at 2:30pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd, Hagerstown, MD. The Rev. Louis L. Emerick will officiate. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD. The family will receive friends Thursday, January from 7-9 pm at Minnich Funeral Home.
