Donald Leroy Yingling, 71, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015 at his home. Born December 17, 1943 in Adams County, PA, he was the son of the late William E. and Bessie Mae Shultz Yingling. He had two sisters, Mary Jane Cross and Betty Peffly; and two brothers, Richard Yingling and Mike Yingling. Donald is survived two step-daughters, Linda Maphis and Carolyn Maphis; one step-son, David Maphis and wife, Marcella; three step-grandchildren, Loretta Webber and husband, Isma, Tori Law and husband, Dwayne, and David Maphis, Jr. and wife, Sara; fourteen great-grandchildren; special niece, Deborah Eaton; special friends, Mary and Woody Stagner of Greensburg Farm Market, and Brenda Wingfield; and many step-nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his loving companion of 25 years, Della Maphis; one step-granddaughter, Carol Maphis Brown; and close family friend, Bill Wolfe. Donald loved to listen to country music, and to watch WWE Wrestling. He was of the Catholic Faith. Special thanks to all the Hospice workers who cared for Donald. Services will be held 11am Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Chaplain Mike Simane will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Keedysville, MD. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
