Donald John Rodney Kline, 78, of Funkstown, MD, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, December 15, 2025.

Born on February 2, 1947, in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of the late Marie Gearhart. He was raised by his devoted mother and stepfather, Lloyd Gearhart.

Donald was a graduate of North Hagerstown High School and proudly served his country as a Vietnam veteran. He was deeply committed to his community, serving on the Funkstown Zoning Board for more than 30 years.

He is survived by two sons, Timothy Kline of Funkstown, MD; Matthew Kline and wife, Katherine Kline of Crozet, VA; one granddaughter, Isabella Kline of Crozet, VA; two brothers; and two sisters.

Services will be private.
