DONALD CHARLES JONES, 75, of Cearfoss died on Sunday, December 17, 2006 at his home. Born March 29, 1931 in Baxter, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Ira and Hazel Cox Jones. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was of the Christian faith. He was employed with Western Maryland Railroad and retired from CSX after 35 years. He is survived by a daughter, Donna Delauter of Hagerstown; two grandchildren, Shane Sunderland and Darrell Manning, both of Hagerstown; three great grandchildren; and his companion, Elsie Thomas He was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Eckhard, and three brothers, Ron Jones, Floyd Jones and William Jones. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. Hagerstown, Md. Rev. Justin Repp will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Military services will be held at the grave site by American Legion Post #42. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, Western Maryland Hospital, 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, Md. 21740.
