DOLORES LORRAINE "DEE" SHILLINGBERG, 79, of Halfway, Maryland, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at her home. Born January 21, 1932, in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Howard V. McCollam and Iva L. Jenkins Daugherty. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, Jack A. Shillingberg. She was a member of Valley Grace Brethren Church. She is survived by three daughters, Barbara J. Gentry, and husband, Mike, of Powell, Tennessee, Donna S. Nye, and husband, Rick, of Brook Park, Ohio, and Janet L. Surratt, and husband, Keith, of Martinsburg, West Virginia; two sons, Allen W. Shillingberg, and wife, Mandy, of Clear Spring, Maryland, and Jack Shillingberg, who was her loving caregiver of two years, of Hagerstown; one sister, Catherine Branagan of Baltimore, Maryland; two brothers, Ted McCollam of Indiana, and Jack McCollam of Baltimore, Maryland; and five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jane Sigai, and Jean Christopher. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday at 6:30 p. m. at Valley Grace Brethren Church, 17310 Gay Street, Hagerstown. Pastor Raymond "Ray" Barger will officiate. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
