Dolly Marie Trumpower passed away peacefully at Homewood at Williamsport on April 1, 2026, at the age of 93.

She was born in Washington County, MD on May 14, 1932, the daughter of the late Millard and Marguerite Shives.

She previously volunteered with the American Red Cross and was a nursing assistant at Washington County Hospital until her retirement in the late 1980's.

She was of protestant faith.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, James "Orville" Trumpower. In addition, her siblings, Chester Eugene Shives, Laura Elaine Steiner, Millard "Lee" Shives, and stepfather, Edgar A. Peck.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Terry) Grossnickle of Williamsport, MD; her granddaughter, Erin Wadel (Eric) of Chambersburg, PA; her grandson, Jamie Grossnickle (Lindsey) of Williamsport, MD; great-grandchildren, Colton and Camden Wadel, Kennedy, Hudson and Maevry Grossnickle; brother, Kenneth Shives; and sister-in-law, Joan Moore. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12-1pm on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD with the funeral following at 1pm. Pastor Doug Wagner will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
