It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dianna Virginia Rivera, 78, of Hagerstown, MD, who passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2024, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Dianna was born on December 6, 1945, in Hagerstown to Merle Burger and Emma Hamilton. She grew up in Hagerstown and graduated from South Hagerstown High School.
Dianna was a devoted Mother and Grandmother. She loved her family, and they loved her. She was selfless, sweet, beautiful, kind and gentle...she was the neighborhood nanny who judged no one and welcomed all.
In addition to spending time with her family, she loved car rides, Days of our Lives, Hershey bars and the Washington Commanders.
Dianna is survived by one son Greg Loveless (April); three daughters, Cathy Fear (Frank), Donna Burger and Lisa Rivera-Lovelace (Phil); her Grandchildren, Whitney Doleman, Kiera Butler, Chasity Loveless, Angel Parker, Eddie Fear, Justin Myers, Danielle Myers, Alison Connolly, Eric Miller, Tiffany Price, David Price, Jr.; and twenty-six Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald Sealock and Richard Young; sister, Donna Baker; and great granddaughter Natalie Rose Parker.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, December 7th from 2:00-3:00 pm with a service immediately following at Minnich Funeral Home. Pastors Ronette and Allen Styles will officite. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate Dianna's life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Dementia Society of America (www.dementiasociety.org/donate).
The family would like to extend their gratitude to her care team Margie Santiago-McCann and Marisol Santiago for their dedication to ensuring she was comfortable and well taken care of.
