Diane Romaine Clifford, 70, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Saturday morning, May 16, 2026, at Medstar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D. C.

Born November 16, 1955, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late George and Edith Mae (Cornell) Lightner Fizer and stepdaughter of the late Sheridan Fizer.

Diane was previously employed as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant at Williamsport Retirement Village and Clearview Nursing Home.

She was a lifetime member of N. R. A. and AMAC. Diane was an expert hunter who was given the nickname "Annie Oakley". She enjoyed spending time with her pet dog, Daisy.

Diane is survived by her husband, Wayne Clifford.

A viewing will be from 6-8pm Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Friday, May 22, 2026, at Minnich Funeral Home with Pastor Shane Wilt Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
