Derrick Eugene Bernhisel, 50, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. He was born on February 27, 1971 to the late Gerald Bernhisel and Cheryl Showe Bernhisel. Derrick was a hard worker, but always fun to be around. He had a lifelong passion for hunting and it was a large part of his life. However, most of all, he was a loving father to his daughter, Myranda and her friends who he treated like family. In addition to his parents, Derrick was preceded in death by his sister, Loria Berry. He is survived by his daughter, Myranda Bernhisel and her mother, Barbara Clevenger, a family friend who he loved like a daughter, Christina Rock, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Family and friends are welcomed for a visitation on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard in Hagerstown.
