Deniece Lynn "Tootsie" Selby, 68, of Maryland, passed away on April 23, 2026.

Deniece was a kindhearted and loving woman who brought warmth to everyone around her. She had a deep love for animals and found joy in arts and crafts, often expressing her creativity in ways that made others smile. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her caring nature, and her ability to make others feel seen and valued.

One of the things those who are closest to her will always cherish was her unique way of seeing the world-she often said that everything reminded her of a song, a reflection of her appreciation for life's little moments.

She is survived by her sister, Aneise Gentry; and loved ones Maria Bentacourt, Eric Novosel, and Sammy Perez; Aunt Nilia Cortes; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carmen Ana Cortes Serrano; beloved son, Dennis Selby; her sister, Ana Beza; and her brother, Joel Novosel.

Deniece's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
