Obituary

Deborah "Debbie" Rebecca Myers, 65 of Frederick, MD, formerly of Hagerstown, died on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. Born November 26, 1952 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Paul Rush Myers and Nancy Anthony Myers. Debbie graduated from North Hagerstown High School in 1970 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland. She earned her Master of Arts in Nursing Education from Hood College and was a graduate from the Baltimore School of Massage. During her nursing career, she touched the lives of thousands through direct patient care, education, and community service. Most recently she was employed by Johns Hopkins University Occupational Health Office. She was a member of the Morris Frock American Legion Auxiliary, Frederick Ski Club, the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, and Trinity Lutheran Church. Her passion for nursing was probably only surpassed by her passion for dancing. She was active in the Washington and Baltimore dance scene, and as evidenced by her custom license plate - the Lindy Hop groups. She is survived by her husband, Bill Munz; step son, Nick Munz; step daughter Linda Toscano and her children Isabella, Sophia, and Joseph; uncle Harry Anthony; numerous cousins and close friends, notably Wilma, Shirley, Regis, Martha and Lloyd. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 30, 2018 at 11am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 15 Randolph Avenue, Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Dr. David Eisenhuth and Rev. Gregory, Shook will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 29, 2018 from 7pm until 9pm, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. A memorial/ celebration of life will be held at a later date. If inclined, memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, P.O. Box 423, Hagerstown, MD 21741. Life is short, lets dance!
