DAVID EDWARD "EDDIE" WILSON, SR., 75, of Hagerstown, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born April 12, 1938, he was the son of the late Charles Edward Wilson and Vernie Virginia Roser Wilson. Eddie was a roofer for 41 years. He really enjoyed bowling, and was an avid Redskins and Yankees fan. Eddie was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jane and Betty; and brothers, Ronald and Bud. Eddie is survived by his wife of 56 years, Anna Wilson; three daughters, Debbie Fritz, Shirley Startzman and husband Michael, and "Mellie" Sue Haines; two sons, David "Ed" Wilson and wife Pam, and Rod Wilson; sister, Shirley Myers; three brothers, Sonny, Bobby and Joe; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, January 17 from 6-8pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd, Hagerstown. Graveside service will be held Saturday, January 18, 11am, at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington St, Hagerstown. Pastor Richard Glass will be officiating.
