DAVID EUGENE SHAW, 77, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Meritus Medical Center. Born, November 16, 1939, in Hagerstown, MD he was the son of the late Jacob O. and Alfie Mills Shaw. David was a veteran in the US Army serving a 17-month tour in Germany. He was employed with Mack Truck for 30 years, retiring in 1995. David is survived by his wife of 51 years, Esther Mills Shaw, two daughters, Mary Ann Taylor, Frederick, MD and Brenda Palmer and husband Jimmie, Hagerstown, MD; two sisters, Audrey Shoemaker and Susan Shaw, Hagerstown, MD; two brothers, Norman Shaw and wife Cindi, Waynesboro, PA and Roger Shaw of Hagerstown, MD and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11am, Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington St., Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Laura Bair will officiate.
